Philadelphia Eagles Tickets And Seating Chart

Sunday, January 17th, 2010

The Philadelphia Eagles took home a win against Washington on November 29 with a final score of 27-24. It was a close game, but when the final buzzer rang, the Philadelphia Eagles were ahead three points and walked away winners. The next game is against the Atlanta Falcons and promises to be another exciting opportunity to see the Philadelphia Eagles in action. Critics of this hardworking team may be quick to point out that the 2009 season has not been the best for the Philadelphia Eagles. They opened the preseason with a loss against the Patriots and followed it with another loss against the Colts. A third loss against the Jets made their win against the Jaguars the only one of the preseason. As the regular season began, the Philadelphia Eagles set about making a winning streak but periodic losses seemed to continue to plague the team. There’s no argument from critics, fans and even the team themselves that the loss to the Saints on September 20 was a deep wound where the Philadelphia Eagles suffered through 22 points as the Saints made more than twice as many points. Perhaps a great deal of controversy surrounds player Michael Vick but there’s more to a team than one member’s past and with supportive and optimistic fans along with knowledgeable staff behind them, the Philadelphia Eagles can approach each of the remaining games in the season with anticipation of many more opportunities to do what they do best: throw the ball and play some really good football. For certain, this team has some great offensive players and coaches but they need to work hard on staying away from the penalties. There are those who focus on the stat sheets when they look at the Philadelphia Eagles and others who look at the sheer force and raw power of the players as they come to the field. This season, there’s a clear difference between the two. Lincoln Financial Field is the location where all of the home games are played by the Philadelphia Eagles. It was decided that the team would benefit from a new stadium when they were purchased by Jeffrey Lurie in 1994 and plans were set about to begin building Lincoln Financial Field. Today, there are many excellent sites and fantastic amenities for every visitor who comes to this world class stadium. Whether you are planning to attend for football, entertainment or another sports venue, you will find that there is no other stadium in the world that quite compares to Lincoln Financial Field. There’s the Pepsi Gate, SCA Club & Suite Entry, West Club & Suite Entry, West Gate and Comcast Gate, each with its own particular entry that provides the best way to get to specific seating in the area. Located at the corner of Broad Street and Pattison Avenue, there are many seating options designed to suit even the most discriminating patron to Lincoln Financial Field. On the 100 Level, which is surrounded by the main concourse, there are many amenities to choose from as you enter the stadium and all during your game day festivities. Family restrooms, ATMs and enough concessions to ensure that you get what you want to eat, ranging from a famous Philly steak and cheese option to many other great tasting delights. Those who enjoy seating that’s ample and spacious can choose from the 200 Level where there are great sites and still more eateries to choose from. The 200 Level is easily accessible from several gated entries and forms nearly a complete circle around Lincoln Financial Field so that you can have the perfect seating option on virtually any side of the stadium.

Oakland Raiders Tickets- Cornerback Hall Released

Wednesday, January 6th, 2010

Like it or not, the removal of head coach Lane Kiffin may have been just the beginning of the changes coming to the Oakland Raiders. Owner Al Davis dropped his next axe before week 10’s match by releasing cornerback DeAngelo Hall. After the release, more changes to the roster are expected by the Raiders. Hall is no has been, either. The Raiders just picked him up this year and signed up to a seven-year, &72 million dollar contract. Hall has already received some $8 million from the Raiders, which raised questions about why the Raiders would drop him after only eight games this season. After the Raiders lost 24-0 to the Atlanta Falcons during week nine, the Raider administration decided to start hacking away at the roster. Many of the players under consideration for release are also some of the most well paid on the roster. The changes could mean an exciting new team, meaning fans should reserve their Oakland Raiders tickets at http://www. stubhub. com/oakland-raiders-tickets/. Before coming to the Oakland Raiders, Hall was with, coincidentally, the same Falcon team that handed the Raiders the shutout loss a week before he was released. The Falcons picked him up in the first round of the 2004 draft from Virginia Tech. During his college career, Hall had 190 tackles, eight interceptions and two forced fumbles. In his first year with the Falcons, he missed the first six games of the season after injuring his hip during the preseason. He played in the final 10 games of the season, starting in nine of them. He tallied 35 tackles, half a sack and two interceptions that season. The next season, he started all 15 games he played in with 65 tackles and six interceptions. He started every game the next season and all but one in the 2007 season. He had a career high 70 tackles in 2007 with five interceptions. Since being with the Raiders, he has started in every game and tallied 48 tackles, half a sack and three interceptions in eight games. The Raiders have had an up and down season so far this year. They started out with a 41-14 loss to the fellow AFC West Denver Broncos. That was followed by a major 23-8 win over the NFC West Kansas City Chiefs during week two, who would later go on to beat the Broncos. They barely lost 24-23 to the Buffalo Bills during week three, followed by a 28-18 loss to the San Diego Chargers. Next came a staggering 34-2 loss to the New Orleans Saints. The next week, however, they came back to topple the Brett Favre-led New York Jets 16-13. Before their loss to the Falcons, they dropped a 29-10 contest to the Baltimore Ravens during week eight. Raiders fans, or anyone one else, who is concerned about the fate of Hall should rest at ease. Since 2005, he is third in the NFL for the number of interceptions with 18. He was also named the NFL’s Fastest Man at the 2006 Pro Bowl competition. With cornerbacks in high demand in the NFL, Hall will not likely be homeless for long.

NFL Tickets - Manning, Pennington Nab Awards

Sunday, January 3rd, 2010

Both Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning and Miami Dolphins quarterback Chad Pennington had to overcome some obstacles to succeed this season. They both ended up excelling and were given recognition for their efforts. Manning was voted The Associated Press’s Most Valuable Player award. This was Manning’s third time winning the award. He also took the honor in 2003 along with Tennessee’s Steve McNair and again in 2004. He won the award convincingly, beating other contenders by more than two dozen votes. One of the other players in the running, Pennington, got at award of his own from The Associated Press, being named the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year. Both players will be at the helm as their teams try to advance through the first round of the playoffs. Earlier in the season, picturing Manning as the MVP would have been a long shot. Manning went though surgery on an infected Bursa sack in his knee during the offseason and didn’t get the same experience during the preseason as normal. The Colts started their regular season with a surprising 29-13 loss to the Chicago Bears. By week eight, they were 3-4 and questions started to arise about their ability to make the playoffs. They rallied beautifully, not losing a game after that and finishing with a 12-4 record and a playoff spot. They even shutout the Tennessee Titans 23-0 in the final game of the season. Manning was key to the wins as seven of his last nine games this season he tallied a passer rating of 95 or more, with four over 120. This season, Manning had 371 completions, 4,002 yards, 27 touchdowns and a passer rating of 95. 0. Unlike Manning, who has been with the Colts since 1998, 2008 marked Pennington’s first year with the Dolphins. He was dropped late in the offseason by the New York Jets, where he had spent the last eight seasons. The Dolphins had finished the 2007 season with 1-15 record, and somehow Miami and Pennington were a perfect fit. They started the season with losses to the Jets and the Arizona Cardinals, but then topped New England and San Diego. They ended the season with an 11-5 record and a postseason berth. Pennington had a remarkable season for the Dolphins and hasn’t had a passer rating under 100 since week 13. He started and played in every game, tallying 476 completions, 3,653 yards, `9 touchdowns and a passer rating of 97. 4. Although there were a lot of factors to the Dolphins’ comeback, Pennington’s teammates voiced their recognition of the quarterback’s efforts this season. To advance to the Divisional Round, the Colts will have to top the San Diego Chargers. Both teams have been hot in the final games of this season. When the two faced during week 12, the Colts were narrowly on top 23-20. The Dolphins will be up against the Baltimore Ravens, who have an identical record as the Dolphins. The Ravens and the Dolphins met during week seven, with the Ravens taking the game 27-13. See both teams with for NFL tickets from http://www. stubhub. com/nfl-tickets.

New England Patriots Tickets- Green-Ellis Causing Waves on Offense

Monday, December 28th, 2009

It takes a special player to go from being cut before the regular season to starring on a team’s offense, but that is exactly what BenJarvus Green-Ellis has done with the New England Patriots this season. When the Patriots cut Green-Ellis during the last cut of the preseason, the choice seemed a logical one. The Patriots already had running backs Heath Evans, Laurence Maroney, Kevin Faulk, LaMont Jordan and Sammy Morris. The Patriots chose to pick him up again to their active roster before the fifth game of the season. Even then, though, it still seemed like Green-Ellis would be sitting the bench for some time. That was before Maroney had a season-ending injury, Jordan injured his calf and Morris hurt his knee. Coincidentally, the man that the Patriots were unsure if they wanted on the roster has now become their primary ball carrier. Green-Ellis first took the field for week six’s game against the San Diego Chargers, but he only had one reception for nine yards. The next game against the Denver Broncos, he had 13 carries for 65 yards and a touchdown. He had another touchdown in week eight’s game against the St. Louis Rams as well as 16 yards on nine carries. He continued with his contributions during week nine against the Indianapolis Colts as he had 57 yards on 15 carries and a touchdown as well as one reception for eight yards. The Patriots’ game against the Buffalo Bills during week 10 was Green-Ellis’s best game yet with 25 carries, 105 yards and one touchdown. Hardly anyone would be guessing this undrafted rookie would be making fans get out and buy New England Patriots tickets, which you can get at http://www. stubhub. com/new-england-patriots-tickets/. He was, however, a successful running back at both of the colleges he attended. He spent his first two years of college at Indiana University. His freshman year, 2003, he rushed for 938 yards and seven touchdowns on 225 carries. The next year, he had 794 yards and five touchdowns on 231 carries at Indiana. He switched to Mississippi in 2005 and redshirted that season. In 2006, he had 1,000 yards and seven touchdowns on 234 carries. His senior year, he had 1,137 yards and six touchdowns. He went undrafted in this year’s draft and the Patriots picked him up last May before cutting him. As of week ten, the Patriots are 6-3. They have some tough opponents to end out the regular season as well as a couple that they should easily roll over. This season has truly tested the Patriots as they lost star quarterback Tom Brady during the first game of the season. Since then, the team has suffered some surprising losses like a 38-13 loss to the Miami Dolphins and a 30-10 loss to the Chargers. Tom Brady has reportedly been back in practice lately, meaning that the Patriots may have him back at 100 percent next season. Until then, they don’t seem to be faring too badly with backups like Green-Ellis and quarterback Matt Cassel.

Rose Bowl Tickets - Predicting the Winner

Saturday, December 19th, 2009

The Rose Bowl will be here before we know it, so it’s time to start putting down some bets as to who will win the game while the odds are still shaking out and you can still get a decent return for a futures wager. I’ll highlight a few teams you might see if you get some Rose Bowl tickets. USC The USC Trojans have Vegas odds of winning the BCS national title game at 2/1 right now, which is the best odds of any team in the nation, despite the fact that they have one loss already and teams like Alabama, Penn State and Texas Tech are working from perfect records. Assuming that the teams at the top don’t falter, it’s likely that USC will wind up in one of the biggest bowls around, and one they are very familiar with, the Rose Bowl. They’ve played a bowl game in their own backyard four of the last five seasons, and they could go for a fourth-straight appearance in the Rose Bowl this time around. With USC you’re looking at a very safe bet, but one that won’t net you a lot of green if it comes to pass. Cal Cal last appeared in the Rose Bowl in 1958, but given the nature of the Pac-10 right now, they have a real shot at getting to the Rose Bowl. Ranked No. 21 in the nation with a game at Southern California coming up this weekend, the Bears would really make a case for themselves to get into the Rose Bowl with a win over the Trojans. If you like Cal and you are thinking about purchasing some at http://www. stubhub. com/rose-bowl-tickets/ to see the Golden Bears this year, you’re going to be rooting harder than ever for the Golden Bears to beat the Trojans this Saturday, because that game will pretty much determine Cal’s ability to secure the Rose Bowl bid. If you want to bet on the Bears, do it before they beat USC and you’ll have a much better return on your investment. Penn State One of the favorites to get to the national title game (but lose it, according to Big Ten haters), the Penn State Nittany Lions are undefeated and in control of their destiny. If they slip up slightly in the last few weeks of the regular season, they could knock themselves out of title contention and enter the Rose Bowl as the Big Ten representative. Bet on the Lions to win the Rose Bowl if you believe that they’re slightly overrated. You can hedge your bet by picking them to win the national title game, as well. Ohio State No. 12 Ohio State makes a good case to win the Rose Bowl, as the 7-2 Buckeyes have been to the Rose Bowl over a dozen times since the game’s inception. A really interesting storyline might play out if the USC Trojans and the Ohio State Buckeyes play in the Rose Bowl this year, because as you might know, they played earlier in the season, with the Trojans stomping the Buckeyes 35-3. Ohio State will get a chance at revenge. If you’re really looking to make some money on college football futures, bet on Ohio State to beat USC in the Rose Bowl right now, before the odds shrink more and more in the house’s favor.

Las Vegas Bowl Tickets - Place Your Bets on BYU

Sunday, December 13th, 2009

The Las Vegas Bowl is a great game to attend, and not just for the football. As the name of the game might have tipped you off, this bowl takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada, where gambling on sports is as legal as freedom, and even if you spent some cash getting Las Vegas Bowl tickets from http://www. stubhub. com/las-vegas-bowl-tickets/, you might still walk away from the game with a bowl full of memories and some spare change to snag a flight and some tickets for the BCS title game. You might, that is, if you place the right bets on who’s going to win the game. Here are some popular NCAA Football futures bets for the winner of the Las Vegas Bowl. BYU Brigham Young is one of the clear favorites to not only get to the Las Vegas Bowl, but to win it. The Cougars have been to the Las Vegas Bowl the past three times, winning it the past two straight seasons, and this year they seem to be on a bullet train to another payout courtesy of Sin City. On a side note, do you think that sending the Mormon school to Las Vegas every year irks the BYU fans? In fact, since 1992, the first year that Las Vegas Bowl tickets were first made available, Utah teams (Utah, Utah State, BYU) have been in 40% of the LV Bowl games. Interesting. But moving on, BYU is 9-1 right now, ranked 16 in the AP, and putting points on the board without a problem. A matchup with undefeated Utah on the road could spell trouble, but they still have a good shot at the Las Vegas Bowl even if they lose that game. Oregon CBSsports. com is predicting Oregon-BYU for the Las Vegas Bowl, based on the fact that there will probably be approximately three other Pac-10 teams that will make more lucrative bowl games this season. USC will go to the Rose Bowl. Oregon State will land the Holiday Bowl, Cal will snag one, too, probably the Sun Bowl, leaving Oregon to take the Las Vegas Bowl. The second tier of the Pac-10 behind USC is a jumble of good teams, and Oregon will probably split their last two regular season games, versus Arizona at home and Oregon State on the road. Cal Cal beat BYU in the Las Vegas Bowl in 2005, and this year might be the rematch. Winning the rest of their regular season home games will be tough for the Golden Bears, but going 2-1 versus Oregon State on the road, Stanford at home and Washington at home is very doable. If that’s the case, and some other scenarios in the Pac-10 play out, Cal’s as good a pick as any to get to the Las Vegas Bowl, where their defense should keep them in the game, even if BYU is their opponent. Utah The long shot here is Utah, as they are currently undefeated and ranked No. 8 in the nation. Some people are predicting that they will find their way to the Sugar Bowl or another BCS game, but supposing they lose their next two regular season games- on the road at San Diego State and at home versus BYU, their fall from grace will land them right where a fall from grace should land you- a Christmas vacation in Las Vegas.

Chicago Bears Tickets- Bears Struggle Through Tough Injuries

Thursday, December 10th, 2009

The Chicago Bears lost the top spot in the NFC North with week 13’s game against the Minnesota Vikings where the Bears lost 34-14. The loss was punctuated further by an a nose injury to Dusty Dvoracek. When Dvoracek was injured during the game against the Vikings, he bypassed the sidelines and was taken straight to the locker room. After the game, the injury was described as being a serious arm injury that could potentially have Dvoracek out for the rest of the season. This news comes just days after the Bears played cornerback Nathan Vasher on injured reserve. Vasher suffered a break on his right hand during week 12’s game against the St. Louis Rams. Although tough, injuries are not uncommon for both players. Dusty Dvoracek has been with the Bears since they drafted him in the third round of the 2006 draft. He played his college days with Oklahoma, where he started 26 of the 48 games he played there. In his time there, he had 131 tackles, 16 sacks, one interception and three fumble recoveries. He played in two preseason games his first season with the Bears before being placed on injured reserve at the end of August. In 2007, he started every preseason game as well as the season opener. He injured his knee after that game and was placed on injured reserve in September. So far this season, he had started and played in 12 games and tallied 12 tackles and two passes defended. Vasher has also seen injuries since he started playing in the NFL. He was selected by the Chicago Bears as an All-American from Texas in the fourth round of the 2004 draft. During his rookie season, he played in every game and started seven of them. He had 29 tackles, four passes defended, five interceptions and one touchdown. The next season, he started all but one game, tallying 46 tackles, eight passes defended, eight interceptions and one touchdown. He missed two games during the 2006 season because of a hamstring injury, but still managed to nab 45 tackles, five passes defended and three interceptions that season as well as make a trip to the Super Bowl with the Bears. His play was sporadic throughout the 2007 season. He played in the first three games as well as game 14 before being placed in IR at the end of the season. He still managed two passes defended and one interception. Before being out this year, Vasher had played in eight games and started seven. He had 21 tackles, eight passes defended and one interception. To help in the loss of Vasher, the Beas signed Jason Davis. Davis was previously on the Bears practice squad earlier in the season as well as on the Raiders’ roster, where he played one game before being cut. So far, Corey Graham has been starting in the place of Vasher, but there are other players who may be given a chance as well. See who plays by getting Chicago Bears tickets from http://www. stubhub. com/chicago-bears-tickets.

The Best Ways to Purchase Nfl Tickets

Friday, November 27th, 2009

The largest American football league – the National Football League (NFL) – consists of 32 teams from all over the United States. It is one of the four major professional sports leagues in North America – the others being the Major League Baseball (MLB), National Basketball Association (NBA), and the National Hockey League (NHL).

The NFL is divided into two conferences – the National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC), which are further divided into four divisions each, each division consisting of four teams. Each of these divisions is designated as East West, North, and South.

American football, played under NFL, descended from Rugby football played in England, and reached the United States via Canada in 1874. Professional football dates back to 1892 when William ‘Pudge’ Heffelfinger was paid $500 by the Allegheny Athletic Association to take part in a game, on November 12, against Pittsburgh Athletic Club. This makes him the first professional player on record. Professional football spread over the next few decades.

The American Professional Football Association, the predecessor of the NFL, was founded in 1920, and changed to its current name in 1922.

The NFL Season

Prior to the regular season, which is generally from September to December, or early January, the NFL season features a four game preseason, or exhibition season, running from early August to early September. This is followed by a 16 game 17-week regular season. Following the regular season, starting in January, six teams each from the AFL and the NFL play a single elimination tournament – the NFL playoffs.

The playoffs end with the Super Bowl – the NFL Championship. The top team from each of the two leagues – the AFL and the NFL – plays in the Super Bowl. The day incidentally is considered an unofficial American national holiday! The Super Bowl was usually played the Sunday following the playoffs, but of late, it has been held on the first Sunday of February, every year.

The Super Bowl is the most watched sport on American television, with companies spending millions on commercials. The game is held for the Sunday night prime time audience on the East Coast. The winner of the Super Bowl in February is crowned the champion of the previous year. The Indianapolis Colts - who won the Super Bowl XLI in February 2007, are the champions of the 2006 season.

Football Tickets

The games of the NFL being so popular with a large fan following, the NFL tickets are hot property. Whether you are looking to purchase the NFL tickets for the pre-season, regular season, or for the playoffs, they are not easy to lay your hands on.

BCS National Championship Game Tickets - Top Three Outside Shots to Win the Title

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009

1. Cal The Good News: Cal’s got a way, way, Mayor of Wasilla, Alaska Washington outsider-style outside chance of winning the title. I say that because they’re currently looking at 200/1 odds at most Vegas casinos. Cal opened up the season as 40/1, so if you’re a big Cal Bears fan who gets tons of tickets for their games at ttp://www. stubhub. com/bcs-national-championship-game-tickets/, and you’re looking to make a hefty profit margin, this is your team. With four weeks of regular season play left to go Cal is sitting on a 6-2 record, a No. 21 AP Poll ranking, and a schedule that looks very, very promising. After facing USC, they play Oregon State on the road and Stanford and Washington at home. Their last three games are against teams who are a combined 10-15. USC is their one big obstacle to winning out, which leads us to the bad news. The Bad News: They play USC this upcoming weekend. A 2-loss team is not unheard of in the BCS title game, but making it there with three losses is crazier than finding BCS National Championship Game tickets somewhere other than StubHub. The Trojans are looking good- not invincible- but Cal’s hopes of getting to the title game pretty much hinge on their being able to beat USC by a healthy margin. If that happens, expect that their odds will become far less lucrative. 2. Utah The Good News: Utah opened up the season with 150/1 odds at winning the national title, but they’ve since increased their title likelihood with Las Vegas bookies, because the odds I’ve colleted say that the Utes are now 100/1 to win the BCS title. There’s still a good profit to be made with this team, so have your cash ready to go if you think they can pull it off. Right now they’re ranked No. 10 in the AP Poll, which is good striking distance. They’re a perfect 9-0, so if they can finish of the year with an undefeated record, they will have a legit claim to a shot at the title. The Bad News: With the exception of the San Diego State game, the Utah Utes have a very, very tough road ahead of them, as they play TCU (9-1) and BYU (8-1) in the remaining games of the regular season. Beating these ranked teams is going to be a stiff uphill climb, but one that could lead to the promise land. They play BYU and TCU at home, though that comment should belong in the Good News column. 3. Ohio State The Good News: The Buckeyes began the season with 8/1 national title odds, but they’ve ballooned to 20/1, which makes them a smart buy if you’re an investor with a lot of appetite for risk. If BCS National Championship Game tickets are going to be sold to a game with Ohio State on the field, they have to finish the season with only two losses, and the teams ahead of their No. 12 AP Poll ranking have to falter. Their upcoming schedule is advantageous, and they barely lost to No. 3 Penn State last weekend. The Bad News: With two losses, the Ohio State Buckeyes have to go bananas on their remaining opponents, Northwestern (7-2), Illinois (5-4) and Michigan (2-7). Even if they do beat these three teams, the strength of schedule is not very good, and even an impressive win over Michigan to close out the regular season will not go very far in the computerized minds of the BCS.

Arizona Cardinals Tickets - Is Warner the Right Choice?

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009

After Matt Leinart apparently went color blind in the Arizona Cardinals third game of the preseason, in which he threw three interceptions in less than two quarters of play, the team has reportedly awarded the starting quarterback job to Kurt Warner. Leinart went 4-12 for a measly 24 yards and the aforementioned picks against the Oakland Raiders, a performance that apparently sealed his fate as 2008 backup. The 37-year-old Warner steps in more than ready to go. Warner appeared in 14 games last season in Leinart’s absence due to injury, throwing a whopping 27 touchdown passes in the process. He posted a quarterback rating of nearly 90 and eclipsed 3400 yards through the air. The former Super Bowl MVP is entering his fourth season with the club, appearing in 30 games in his Cardinals tenure thus far. Leinart missed all but five games last season due to injury, but was handed back the starting role during the offseason. Many NFL pundits, including myself, expected a big step forward from the USC product in 2008. The team has expressed concerns about Leinart’s arm strength, which is a bit perplexing. Leinart’s lack of the proverbial “laser rocket arm” was well-documented during the months leading up to the 2006 NFL Draft and was probably a factor in Leinart’s draft day slide. Leinart’s arm strength, or lack thereof, shouldn’t come as a surprise to Cardinals management. It comes as a surprise to me that the team gave up on Leinart, at least for this season, after one bad preseason game. I know Leinart’s performance against Oakland was nothing short of putrid, but this seems like a bit of a knee-jerk reaction. Leinart fared well in the two previous games this preseason and it’s odd that one bad game would automatically unseat him as the starter. I am going to give the Cardinals coaching staff the benefit of the doubt, though, and assume that the Oakland game was not the only problem. Leinart’s offseason activities have led to his work ethic and dedication being questioned, but the former Trojan attended every offseason workout the team held. He could still very well be the quarterback of the future in Arizona, but most people were expecting him to be the signal caller of the present as well. There is still a chance that Matty Hollywood regains his job as starter this season, but it may take an injury to Warner, who does have a history of getting hurt when he holds onto the ball for too long. For now, the Cards are going with Warner, who does give the team the best chance to win this season. Warner’s got perhaps the best wide receiver tandem in the league in Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin and don’t sleep on tight end and resident giant Leonard Pope in the red zone. Warner could very well throw 30 touchdowns in the 2008 campaign, but will that be enough to propel the Cardinals to the playoffs? Arizona plays in a pretty weak NFC West and a postseason berth isn’t completely out of the question, but it would certainly be a surprise. With Warner at the helm, I still don’t see the club winning more than seven games. Were Leinart the starter, I’d probably knock off one or two of those victories. So is it better to go 7-9 with a stop-gap quarterback or let your future quarterback take his lumps while learning the position and go 5-11? Leinart would gain valuable experience while the team got a look at whether he truly is their guy going forward or not and the team would land a better pick in the 2009 draft. I know Herm Edwards would tell me that “you play to win the game,” but you must look at this situation from a long-term, franchise-oriented standpoint. But more wins sell more Arizona Cardinals tickets, a correlation that surely isn’t lost on Cardinals ownership.
