Baltimore RavensRavens linebacker Tony Fein was arrested and charged Sunday with assaulting a police officer at a restaurant, the police said. Fein, an undrafted rookie from Mississippi, was eating dinner at a restaurant in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor neighborhood when a security officer thought he saw him pass a handgun to one of his friends, the police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said. The item turned out to be a cellphone. When the police questioned Fein, 27, he became belligerent and shoved the officer, Guglielmi said. Sgt. Joseph Donato was knocked to the ground and had an injured elbow, a police report said. Cincinnati BengalsQuarterback Carson Palmer did some light tossing, but did not practice with the team. Palmer, who has a sprained left ankle, is questionable for Thursday’s preseason game against St. Louis. He missed much of last season with an elbow injury. Receiver Chad Ochocinco won’t have to kick extra points anymore. The Cincinnati Bengals signed rookie kicker Sam Swank from Wake Forest, giving them another option while Shayne Graham recovers from a groin injury. Graham couldn’t kick during a preseason game at New England on Thursday, prompting Ochocino to kick an extra point. Denver BroncosBrandon Marshall’s feud with the Broncos continued on Saturday, with the disgruntled wide receiver left back in Denver while the rest of the team lost a preseason game at Seattle. “Everybody who was ready and able to play in this game was here. And everybody we deemed not ready and able stayed back home,” Broncos first-year coach Josh McDaniels said late Saturday night after Denver’s 27-13 loss. The coach added he “absolutely” expected Marshall to participate when the Broncos return to practice Tuesday. Marshall spent two days last week working almost exclusively with the scout team after saying he was nowhere near mastering the new offense. He is upset with the Broncos over their refusal to redo his contract after consecutive 100-catch seasons or to trade him. He’s also angry with their handling of his acquittal on battery charges last week. New England PatriotsNew England released second-year tight end Tyson DeVree. The 6-foot-6, 245-pound DeVree was originally signed by the Patriots as a rookie free agent out of Colorado in 2008. He was a member of the Patriots’ practice squad for nine weeks last season before being signed to the 53-man roster. DeVree made his NFL debut against Seattle on Dec. 7 and also played against Arizona on Dec. 21. The Patriots have four tight ends in camp, all veterans: Benjamin Watson, Chris Baker, Alex Smith and David Thomas. Carolina PanthersPanthers Pro Bowl middle linebacker Jon Beason left Saturday’s loss to Miami with a left knee injury. Beason insisted he had not suffered a season-ending torn anterior cruciate ligament. Beason’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said the injury was a strained medial collateral ligament, and he was optimistic his client could return for the start of the regular season . . . Buccaneers linebacker Angelo Crowell will miss the season with a torn biceps muscle. The seventh-year pro was hurt during Saturday’s win at Jacksonville. The former Buffalo defensive captain signed as a free agent after sitting out 2008 because of a knee injury . . . Seahawks center Chris Spencer injured his leg against Denver and will have tests to determine how long he will be out. Philadelphia EaglesMichael Vick showed no signs of rust during Eagles practice Sunday, throwing tight spirals with plenty of velocity. Offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg said head coach Andy Reid will probably make a decision Tuesday if Vick will make his preseason debut Thursday at home against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Vick worked with offensive assistants James Urban and Doug Pederson on Sunday. “Every day he works with James and Doug he picks up a little more,” Mornhinweg said. “He hasn’t played in two years, so a lot of it is just getting him into football shape. ” Chicago BearsJay Cutler gave a glimpse of why he was a Pro Bowl quarterback last season, and how he can transform the Chicago Bears’ offense by his mere presence. In his first game with his new team at Soldier Field, Cutler played only three series and the Bears scored on all three in a 17-3 exhibition win over the New York Giants on Saturday night. Cutler’s 8-for-13 passing performance for 121 yards included a TD pass to Desmond Clark and a couple of nice hookups with his former Vanderbilt teammate Earl Bennett. Tampa Bay BuccaneersLinebacker Angelo Crowell will miss the season with a torn biceps muscle. The seventh-year pro was hurt during Saturday night’s preseason victory at Jacksonville. The former Buffalo defensive captain signed with the Bucs as a free agent after sitting out all of 2008 because of a knee injury. Raheem Morris is keeping his options open on Tampa Bay’s starting quarterback. The first-year coach has been promising a decision before the third preseason game, but raised the possibility the competition between Byron Leftwich and Luke McCown could be extended another week. Neither player has established himself as the clear-cut No. 1, although Leftwich appeared to be the front-runner before McCown played well in Saturday night’s 24-23 preseason victory at Jacksonville. Washington RedskinsQuarterback Jason Campbell has played five series this exhibition season, has a completion percentage of 30. 8 and enters perhaps the most important week of the preseason coming off a statistically dismal 1-for-7 performance in Saturday night’s 17-13 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Still, Coach Jim Zorn provided a positive assessment of the situation. “I thought Jason did a nice job getting us into the right play,” Zorn said. A day after the Redskins’ first offensive unit failed to score a touchdown for the second consecutive preseason game, Zorn downplayed any disappointment in Campbell’s performance, concentrating more on the fifth-year quarterback’s decision-making process than on the execution of his passes. Seattle SeahawksThe starting center Chris Spencer has an injured leg and will have more tests to determine how long he will be out. Spencer hurt his left quadriceps muscle in the second quarter of Saturday night’s 27-13 preseason win over Denver. He was taken to the locker room on a motorized cart. Seahawks coach Jim Mora called the injury “the most serious” of assorted bumps and bruises. Seattle is already without nine-time Pro Bowl left tackle Walter Jones on its jumbled offensive line. The 35-year-old had his second knee surgery in eight months last week and is out indefinitely.

High Definition Update: Interview With Paul Wheeler

HIGH DEFINITION HD Update Update - Paul Wheeler Interview In July 2005 I wrote an e-zine with the title of "High Definition" When? "At that time we have seen little demand for HDCAM equipment out some customers United States, seven months later, the situation has changed radically. We added two Sony HDW-F900 HDCAM camcorder high line (Sony HDCAM camera for television and / or film) to our actions in January 2006 due to increased demand and see this as the beginning of a trend. And just to make a reservation for a multi-camera shooting in March with six HDW-F900. Interview with Paul Wheeler soon available on DVD with this increased demand, which recently hired Paul Wheeler BSC, a film director with extensive experience and digital photography, who wrote the book "The high-definition movies and 24P, to run some workshops for us. While here, I've interviewed. We will make movies available in an edition of the interview. If you want one, contact me @ procamtv cal. com. BBC Drama and High Definition One of my first questions to Paul on the jump, apparently sudden demand for HDCAM. Paul's reaction: "Five years ago, the BBC said in years, while two will be presented in HD. Three months ago, said all that in two years will be in high definition to try to predict what happens is very difficult. The BBC wanted to move in this direction have not evolved as fast as they wanted. But this is not a technical problem. It is a problem to convince producers that use a new technology is safe. And I think this year (2005), we have begun to see the confidence in the system and I am very optimistic that we will now see a cascade effect. When a pair of very expensive costume dramas have been performed on the HD, they look exactly like the expensive costume dramas. And that to me is a great starting point that I hoped would have happened a couple of years. Sky HD TV and Sky TV also said they are on track with plans to launch HDTV in 2006. BSkyB chief operating officer, Richard Freudenstein, said recently that the dramatic improvement in image quality that will allow BSkyB to reach its goal of ten million customers in 2010. "Innovation and technology leadership are at the heart of the Sky brand," he said. "With the introduction of HDTV, our ambition is to raise the bar again." BSkyB expects that sales of "HD Ready" TV sets will accelerate as equipment prices continue to fall and the availability of HDTV programming is developed. Nonfiction and high-definition Paul said that the increased use of high definition programming in the documentary and in fact was higher than in the drama. "We had more concrete plans that we made in HD drama and I think the main unit is the fact that you can sell worldwide. You can sell really dramatic if they have in England an English speaking country, but you can change the comment to any language very easily and I think there is more potential sales for International Documentary or factual work for the benefits transparency to spend all that you've become what you want to sell is an even greater advantage. "Sony HVR-Z1 (HDV) vs. Defining the Digital Betacam video camera high the most popular is the Sony HVR-Z1. This is for low budget shoot and the camera has replaced the Sony DSR-PD170P. The main advantage is the Z1 has a smart widescreen widescreen outbreaks so true. The PD170P is a display setting of the scale, but because it has a 4:3 chip This produces images smaller than the Z1. Most of our customers in the DVCAM format file, instead of setting when using the Z1 HDV and achieve excellent results. In some articles I've seen the Sony Z1 in the DVW-790WSP camcorder by holding the image quality is similar. According to Paul: "If taken directly from Z-1 and paste it into a decent monitor and do the same in the B channel, with a Digi-Beta and rotating between the two will be very impressed. But there are other issues to know why choosing a camera. The first is the recording format and Digi-Beta format is much more stable and robust than the M-PEG 2 compression used in HDV workflow. "This, says Paul, is of particular concern in post-production, especially if you do a little" post-production only. "Other issues to consider are the target and the actual strength of the camera. The purpose of a Digi-Beta is much more flexible and faster reaction of the lens on the Z1 and if you're shooting under 790, even slightly negative is made things much worse. Notice Paul is "that (the Z1), as a replacement for the PD170 but do not think as a replacement for the highly professional process, very strong, very strong recording Digi-Beta. It is not. "More on the DVD by Paul Wheeler in an interview with an edition DVD of the interview with Paul include a review of: The increasing use of video cameras Z1 high definition Digital Betacam or short summary of the different cameras: 730, 750 and F900 progressive scan and interlaced recording 720 vs. 1080 camera settings properly for post-production Summary of HDTV is finally here. I've never seen a fast take-off format. We have seen an increased demand in January and the interests and research are increasing. I recommend you learn as much as you can about high-definition cameras available, the range of the parameters that you can take and what accessories are needed. The E-Zine July covered much of this, Paul Wheeler and DVD covers in the next E-Zine generally cover accessories. Until then, happy shooting! Cal Barton, Procam Television www. procamtv. com
